As the communications and marketing coordinator, I interviewed dozens business owners for the Intentionalist blog and carefully told their stories so people could learn more about the people behind some of their favorite small businesses.

Benaroya Institute
I was a ghostwriter for the Benaroya Institute at Virginia Mason’s Autoimmune Life Blog. I became an authority in autoimmune diseases in a short time while using a tone that was accessible, casual and informative. I interviewed experts from Virginia Mason to give tips and advice on how patients can best navigate their autoimmune disease (plus, I can now spell rheumatoid arthritis without having to look it up).

EDITING
Klipsun Magazine
In spring 2019, I was the editor-in-chief of Western Washington University’s award-winning student publication Klipsun Magazine.
I chose “Authenticity” as the guiding theme to encourage writers to draft meaningful stories that resonated with them.
I managed a team of 10 editors and 25 writers along with a $25,000 budget to produce a print and online magazine. We spent three months editing and designing stories, and I’m proud of what we accomplished.
